Family review of Riviera Retreat Torquay

Thank you Louise for this great review!

“Just arrived home from a fantastic weekend at the Riviera Retreat Torquay.

Wonderful location, short walk to Torre Abbey, through the gardens to seafront spot on.

I had forgotten how nice Torquay is, everything walkable, the harbour , the marina and the beach, the children (& some big kids too) even went in the sea.

Obviously we were very lucky with the weather, some may have even caught the sun, no one had sun cream as just wasn’t expecting!

Parking was not a problem, plenty of spaces very near in the street.

The space was perfect for us, lots of room, small children could play in the games area and everyone relaxed in the lounge

We even had a piano recital and my brother who’s birthday we were celebrating had some vinyl records so was very pleased with the record play!

We were a mixed aged blended family and the house was able to accommodate us all, all but one room ensuite, everyone happy, lots of seaviews.

The downstairs bedroom was a blessing, as mother in law was with us. She was very active and independent when I booked however unfortunately has had a few falls so very limited mobility. She did have the best of times though.

We rearranged the dinning tables, carefully decorated the room and had a private chef cook for us a gala meal on Saturday, it was fabulous, it really made the evening special. I have passed on the chefs details to the booking agent

I almost forgot to mention the kitchen, fully equipped, seemed double everything so no falling over each other while making a cuppa or toast!

I would recommend Rivera Retreat as the perfect house for a big group get together, it ticks all the right boxes.”
